Poem written by one of my fans, @wondering_re for this work of art.
"COLAB the Raven, perches his claws knowingly across the skull of the latest Gatekeeper. The ones who sourced power like a bag of sweets that can only be given out sparingly when they chose to. The ones who were so easily consumed and distracted by greed & envy. The ones who thought they had assumed the position to control who gets to succeed, thrive, grow & breath. However this became their emerging truth instead...

Although the Gatekeepers remained within their high-up, rose covered mountainous surroundings... An invisible but also tangible stillness inevitably came from, within and for them. A place where changes are restricted. A place where uncertainty is constantly combated through lies, games & manipulation. A place where any form of evolution through authentic collaboration fails to take seed, time after time after time.

As COLAB the Raven, peered down at the remains of the Gatekeeper, some wonderings came to him and filled every colourful feather upon his body... "Do we really need or want to hold ourselves or others back in the name of feeling successful? To stifle others or hold them to the light at our own grumbled shadowed will? Or does something more boundless, more evolutionary, more COLABborative await?" The observer must choose wisely as this too carves out their creative legacy, their unfolding fate."

Original work of art is 24"x24" mixed media on 1.5" thick canvas and has sold.
